JOB PURPOSE

Managing and overseeing branch personnel, supervising branch operations, and ensuring efficient operation on a day-to-day basis. Accountable for Branch Sales turnover, to improve the business profitability and cost management to maximize results and achieve peak performance levels.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Financial

1. Drive and achieve overall Branch Sales Target

2. Deposit

3. Investment

4. Loans – ASBF, SMART MONEY & Education loan

5. Bancassurance & Banca Takaful product

6. Credit Card

7. Business referrals

8. Prevention of Fraud and Losses (internal and external).

9. Effectively control the cost as per budget

Process

1. Ensure that every staff discharge duties in accordance with:-

2. Branch Manual

3. BNM Guidelines and Other Regulatory / Statutory Requirement

4. Internal control process & procedures.

5. Ensure satisfactory audit rating

6. Ensure audit findings are resolved within specified time frame.

7. Monitor submission of reports within the specified time

8. Act as BCM Coordinator and perform Business Continuity Plan & Call Tree Exercise.

9. Act as Business Compliance Officer (BUCO) Representative.

10. Act as CLO (Complaint Liaison Officer).

11. Act as Branch OSHA coordinator.

12. Ensure compliance on regulatory and non-regulatory requirements by conducting coaching.

Customer

1. Ensure efficient customer service level in accordance to SLA

2. Ensure timely reply to customer and CCQ.

3. Ensure to resolve any complaints within SLA

4. Ensure accuracy in service delivery.

People

1. Resource management:-

4. Branch meeting.

5. Provide training / briefing on products and identify training needs

6. Recruitment of staff

7. Staff development and coaching

8. Ensure knowledge and understanding of respective KPIs and JD among all staff

9. Performance and productivity tracking at all levels including performing staff appraisals

Other Responsibilities

1. To manage and undertake ad-hoc assignments

2. Alternate key holder to Vault & Self Service Terminal.

3. To organize or participate CSR activities within the branch community

4. To ensure cleanliness, safety and security of the bank’s premise and SSL area

5. To perform relief duties as and when required or in the absence of ABM.

Learning & Growth

1. To involve and contribute to any special project organise by Head Office

2. Attend training on compliance, regulatory, product knowledge, customer services and other personal development and growth.

3. To incorporate AFFINBANK’s DNA to all staff in the branch and uphold team work spirit

4. To identify any potential staff for succession planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.

• Professional banking certifications will be an added advantage.

• Minimum 5-8 years of banking experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or branch management role.

• Strong experience in retail banking sales, branch operations, and customer relationship management.

• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch profitability.

• Strong understanding of retail banking products and services.

• Sound knowledge of BNM regulations, compliance requirements, and operational risk controls.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.

• Strong business acumen and sales management capabilities.

• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead a diverse team and drive a high-performance culture.
