PURCHASING CLERK – JOB SCOPE

• Prepare purchase orders for raw materials, packaging and factory supplies.

• Obtain supplier quotations and compare prices, quality and delivery terms.

• Place orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

• Coordinate with production and store teams on material requirements and stock levels.

• Check deliveries against purchase orders and resolve shortages, incorrect items or quality issues.

• Verify supplier invoices and delivery orders before submitting them to accounts.

• Maintain purchasing records, supplier details and updated price lists.

• Source new suppliers and assist in negotiating prices and payment terms.

• Arrange returns or replacements for rejected materials.

• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.
