Job Description
AS400 System & Infrastructure Management
Oversee the setup, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of AS400 systems.
Perform OS and third-party system software installation and upgrades to keep up with technology changes.
Monitor and tune both OS and online applications for optimal performance.
Conduct system and storage capacity planning and management.
Review and perform periodic maintenance on system hardware and software (OS and third-party).
Investigate and resolve system-related problems promptly and effectively.
Evaluate and recommend system software packages aligned with business and technology needs.
Deploy proactive diagnostic, monitoring, and preventive management tools.
Strategic Planning & Solutioning
Lead or support hardware and software strategic planning to meet evolving business requirements and technology directions.
Contribute to infrastructure planning, design, implementation, and support of AS400 solutions.
Lifecycle & Operations Oversight
Ensure end-to-end lifecycle support for AS400 systems including upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Management & Collaboration
Lead a small team comprising one permanent staff and contract resources (if appointed as Unit Head).
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and support.

Advanced Diploma - Computer Studies, Chinese (Mandarin), English, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) - APM GROUP, Malay
