About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Talent Acquisition Lead to oversee Direct Labour (DL) recruitment operations at our Penang manufacturing site.
The successful candidate will lead high-volume recruitment activities, drive manpower fulfilment, manage recruitment operations, and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure workforce requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
This position is offered on a 1-year renewable contract basis. Contract renewal will be subject to business requirements, workforce needs, and individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment activities for direct labour and manufacturing-related positions.
Partner with hiring managers and production teams to understand manpower requirements and develop effective hiring plans.
Drive high-volume recruitment to achieve weekly hiring targets and support production demands.
Supervise and guide the recruitment team to ensure effective recruitment delivery.
Coordinate foreign worker management activities in collaboration with relevant HR teams, including work permits, medical screenings, and onboarding arrangements.
Manage manpower agencies and recruitment vendors to ensure recruitment efficiency and compliance.
Oversee new hire orientation, onboarding readiness, and contingent-to-permanent employee conversions.
Monitor recruitment performance, hiring fulfilment, time-to-fill, and outstanding vacancies.
Ensure accurate recruitment documentation, Oracle system updates, and audit compliance.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in recruitment processes and candidate experience.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong experience in high-volume recruitment, particularly direct labour or production hiring.
Experience leading or coordinating a recruitment team.
Good understanding of manpower planning, recruitment operations, and hiring fulfilment.
Exposure to foreign worker management and recruitment vendor coordination would be an added advantage.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Oracle or other recruitment management systems is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and deliver recruitment targets in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment and support business hiring needs as required.
