KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the design and coordination of powder metallurgy sample parts based on customer requirements. Ensure proper material selection, Tooling design, and sintering conditions to meet functional and dimensional specification

Facilitate a seamless transition from the sample phase to mass production. This process is important for ensuring efficiency and quality as production scales up. By focusing on effective communication and coordination among teams, we can minimize disruptions and enhance overall productivity

Track the development and production progress of PM parts
Identify and resolve critical technical issues related to powder behavior, part density, dimensional tolerances, and mechanical properties during compaction, sintering, and post-processing stages

Perform precision measurements on sintered components using tools such as micrometers, CMMs, and profile projectors. Verify conformance to engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances, accounting for shrinkage and densification behavior.

Analyze data from sample production runs, including density, porosity, hardness, and microstructure, to validate design performance and ensure reliability in mass production

Create detailed inspection reports covering dimensional checks, metallurgical evaluations, and physical property tests. Provide clear documentation for customer approval and internal quality assurance

Evaluate new powder materials and additives for potential use in PM components. Conduct compaction and sintering trials to assess mechanical properties, compatibility with existing tooling, and overall performance improvements

Develop and issue detailed CAD drawings, material specifications, and internal standards tailored for powder metallurgy processes. Ensure designs are optimized for tooling, manufacturability, and sintering behavior while complying with industry standards such as ISO

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues arising from product design, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve design processes to enhance manufacturability and efficiency

Proficient in 3D CAD software:
SolidWorks (preferred)
AutoCAD / Inventor / Creo
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
Knowledge of powder metallurgy or metal components manufacturing is a strong advantage
Familiar with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Basic knowledge of material properties (steel, copper alloys, iron-based powder metal)
Ability to read technical drawings and customer blueprints
Familiarity with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS) is a plus
Familiarity with Japanese manufacturing practices (Kaizen, 5S, PDCA) is beneficial

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Candidates with Diploma + 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design will also be considered
Fresh graduates with strong CAD skills are welcome to apply
